QPR LOANEE WANTS SUCCESS

QPR’s on loan Manchester United striker Federico Macheda has said that he wants to emulate the success achieved by previous Manchester United youngsters like Danny Welbeck and Tom Cleverley.

Tom Cleverley and Danny Welbeck have both proven that manager Sir Alex Ferguson always provides the opportunities to players if they are good enough to play for Manchester United. Danny Welbeck spent one season on loan at Sunderland, while Tom Cleverley was at Wigan athletic on loan last season.

Both these loan deals have proven to be extremely successful for all parties involved and Federico Macheda hopes to achieve the same with his loan spell at QPR.

Federico Macheda arrived at loan on QPR after a number of clubs are reportedly interested in him. The Italian made his debut for Manchester United in 2009 in the match against Aston Villa. It provided him with almost instant success, as he hit the injury time winner that gave Manchester United all three points.

However, he has not been able to replicate the same success in the forthcoming seasons, which effectively meant that he had to go out on loan in order to gain experience. He did so by going to Sampdoria last season, but Sir Alex Ferguson has remained steadfast that he would be willing to allow Federico Macheda go on loan only to a Premier League club.

‘I hope to do the same as them because they had loan spells for one year and it worked well for them. I hope it will do for me as well. When I spoke to (Ferguson) about going on loan he agreed with me. I am 20 years old and I need to get more playing time,’ he said. So far, he has made 15 appearances for Manchester United as a starter and 18 as a substitute.
