QPR backs manager

Queens Park Rangers have issued a statement that they will be offering their full backing to manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink following the allegations made by newspaper reporters that the manager was willing to accept money in exchange for selling players.

The Dutch manager has not denied the talks and said that he was naïve to deal with the reporters. He, however, stated that he did not engage in any wrongdoing and that he was just curious to know where the discussions will end up.

Ever since the Telegraph reveals the existence of the recordings, Queen Park Rangers have opened their own investigation and has sought the assistance of all the different stakeholders. The club, however, has stated that the Telegraph did not provide as much help as they would have wanted in order to investigate the issue.

It is believed that the investigation has been dropped off by Queens Park Rangers as there is a lack of evidence to show that Hasselbaink has been involved in any case of wrongdoings.

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink said that he regrets the situation and that he was just naïve to have been caught in the trap laid by the reporters. He said that his conscience is clean and that he knows that he has not been involved in any case of illegal or unethical activities.

The Queens Park Rangers board has stated that they will continue to provide their full support to the manager but that he has been reminded of his role and position at the club. The board said that as a manager, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink should know that his conduct will be monitored closely and that it is important that he remains free from any doubts at all times.

The board still believe in the manager and has wished him success for the remaining part of the season.
