Cardiff Continues Their Unbeaten Run by Demolishing QPR

Queens Park Rangers dominated the possession and even hit the woodwork twice as well, but it was Cardiff who had the last laugh as they win the match 3–0.

QPR continued to have nearly 70% of possession and played well but could not get the real job done. The visitor played well and they had their early chance with Bright Osayi-Samuel as he got cleared from defense and took a powerful shot, but Alex Smithies was able to make the save at his near post. Then in the 20th-minute visitors came close again as a superb ball from Ryan Manning was met by former Swansea defender Angel Rangel and who almost scored.
However, it was the day for Cardiff. QPR gave away a soft free-kick. Lee Tomlin took the spot-kick and Aden Flint nodded back the ball to Morrison who took a perfect header to score the first goal of the match. It was in the 11th minute.

QPR came close to the goal as Eberechi Eze’s shot struck the post. They pressed on for an equalizer and Ilias Chair had a fine chance but could not get passed, Smithies. They were pushing hard before they made a mistake and conceded the second goal in dying seconds of the half. At the 46th minute, Tomlin found Gavin Whyte in an ample amount of space who made a superb cross to allow Pack a simple tap-in.

The visitor dominated the second half also and had Manning struck the post and Josh Scowen shoot wide. However, Cardiff defended well and they got the all-important third goal as Leandro Bacuna’s cross made it 3-0 in the 72 minutes.

The result left QPR in the 11th position after 11 matches in the championship.
