Johansen Nears QPR Move As He Undergoes Medical

Championship club Queens Park Rangers are said to be very close to completing the signing of Fulham midfielder Stefan Johansen. QPR’s interest in the player emerged as a result of the injury that had befallen Tom Carroll who is said to have been confirmed to face a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Carroll injured his ankle in training and has since been made to follow rehabilitation procedures as he looks to find his way back from injury as quickly as he can. While QPR have weighed in their support for the player and doing everything they can to ensure he gets a speedy recovery, plans are currently being put in place to bring hun his short-term successor in his absence prior to when he regains full fitness.Johansen will reportedly join Queens Park Rangers for the rest of the current campaign as he will be expected to hit the ground running once he completes his signing. The deal is subject to the completion of the medical as well as the signing of the necessary paperwork which will confirm Johansen as a new QPR player till at least the end of the season.

The Norwegian midfielder recently clocked 30 years and has already become a frustrated figure at Fulham with opportunities to take part on the pitch has become hard to come by. He is yet to make an appearance in the league this season but is reportedly eager to move elsewhere in a bid to get access to more playing time.

His Contract at Fulham will not expire until 2022 but he may well leave the club before the date of the expiration emerges. With QPR keen to add an experienced midfielder to their squad, they seem to have finally found the right person for the job.

Johansen will be the Rangers’ third signing this window after the confirmation of loan deals for Charlie Austin and Jordy de Wijs
