MANNING SET FOR QPR STAY – JOURNALIST

MK Dons manager Liam Manning will likely stay with the League One club despite the transfer links over a move to English Championship side Queens Park Rangers (QPR). QPR are looking for a new manager after the exit of Mark Warburton at the end of the just concluded Championship season. QPR fans appreciate Manning amongst the managers who have been linked with the vacant managerial position at the club. Manning is said to be a popular choice to fill the vacuum left by the exit of Warburton. However, Manning might not take the job as he’s looking likely to stay at MK Dons as reported by journalist Alex Crooks. The talkSPORT reporter said that Manning will likely stay at MK Dons beyond this summer earlier this week.

Manning has gained managerial recognition at MK Dons in the past year after leading the club to third place at the end of last season. MK Dons qualified for the League One playoffs as a result before they were beaten by Wycombe Wanderers in the semifinals. Under his watch, MK Dons are one of the most entertaining teams in the English Football League (EFL).

Apart from the aforementioned Manning, Wycombe Wanderers manager Gareth Ainsworth has been linked with the vacant QPR managerial position. Ainsworth is a former favourite at QPR though a lot of the fans have reservations about his unattractive brand of football. He led Wycombe to the League One playoff final before they were beaten 2-0 by Sunderland. To this effect, Wycombe Wanderers will spend the new season in League One.

Players are still being linked with QPR despite the absence of a manager. The West Londoners have been linked with a move for AFC Wimbledon midfielder AyoubAssal alongside fellow Championship team Blackburn Rovers and newly promoted Premier League team Fulham.
