QPR MUST MOVE ON

QPR manager Mark Hughes has said that his team must make full use of the 2-1 win over Arsenal last weekend in order to get out of the relegation troubles this season.

QPR have previously won against Chelsea and Liverpool at home this season, but have been unable to carry on the impressive run against the lesser teams.

As a result, they find themselves in the bottom three of the Premier league, which will result in relegation at the end of the season. Following the 2-1 win over Arsenal, which helped them stay in touch with the other relegation strugglers, Mark Hughes demanded his team to take on the positives from this match to other matches as well.

QPR managed a 3-2 win over Liverpool a few weeks ago, but followed that up with a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Sunderland. Now, Mark Hughes has said that he will not allow his players to do the same mistake once again, as he fully expects them to capitalise on this moral boosting victory. Arsenal are currently chasing for the third position and are leading the race in order to do so. However, this 2-1 defeat at the hands of QPR has allowed their arch rivals Tottenham to close the gap.

“I talked about not letting that performance go to waste. We possibly did when we went up to the Stadium of Light and really under-performed. We must not allow that to happen again. We have a huge test going to Old Trafford and that will be a measure of how we deal with going to away grounds and getting points on the board,” Hughes said after the match. QPR, however, will be facing a stern test in the form of an away trip to Manchester United in the next fixture.
